River Phoenix: A star who never will turn off
Early Life
River Jude Phoenix was born 1970 in Oregon, USA. His parents were hippies who lived by foraging. They named River by the river of life in the novel Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, and Jude by the Beatles song "Hey Jude". Shortly after birth River, joined with family and all the Children of God sect, which led them to Venezuela as missionaries. Money was scarce, and River and Rain sister should sing in the streets to earn some coins. In 1977, the family moved away from the Children of God because of allegations of child abuse.
Back on American soil, the Phoenix-all vegetarian ultra purists, to the point of not eating eggs or even honey-decided to enter the showbiz. The mother became a secretary of the NBC television network. From this position managed to get the very small River could participate in advertisements. The purpose of the mother was using the media to change the world, and believed that River would be his mission. And the baby had with what success: blonde, eyes clear, intelligent, artistic skills. The boy made his debut in 1980 in the series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), where he played the younger brother. Despite not having studied acting-is: never went to school because the parents did not believe in the institution-After twenty-two episodes, the show was canceled, but River, the only real family support, continued working on the screen girl: appeared in "Hotel" and "family Ties".
